Some Popular Question and
answer about the weather in Chiang mai for the Month Of
June.
I understand that June is
very hot and the monsoon season in Chiang Mai. In fact there may be
torrential rain. Therefore is this a good time to travel to Chiang
Mai?
June is normally not too
rainy, August/September are statistically seen the months with the
highest precipitation, and btw. torrential rain never lasts for very
long and it gets dry afterwards rather quickly;
I was there in august
when its meant to be one of the worst months for the rain there.
It rained for 30 minutes at the most during the day, maybe once or
twice. most of the rain was at night time anyways. i spent about 5
days there, and it rained when i was out and about say 4 times....
dont let it stop u from going to Chiang Mai Thailand.
Over the last 15 years in
Chiang Mai I have noticed that in June if it rains at all it is only a
quick passing shower in the late afternoon and evenings. The
temperature is not that bad but the humidity is very high. This is
also my favotire time of year as the sky is clear and a beautiful
blue, the mountians nice and green and you can see for miles and
miles. The butterflies are out and most of the best exotic fruit is in
season. You'll love it.
Can I know if it will be
hot in June? I'm planning on a round of golf.
Chiang Mai City (9AM) it is 78F. 26FC. with light rain and no
wind. Sunny day - around 82F. 28C. In the afternoons will reach around
94F. 32C.
Best to go in the morning however if you can wait unil after 2PM you
will get a 30% or higher discount on green fees depending on which
course you play.
