The Insect and
Natural Heritage Museum:
A 4 storey building museum, expertly compilation of 40 years
of research is filled with displays of rare, peculiar and extinct
specimens of insects, coins and natural phenomenon. Located at 72
Nimanhemin Road, Soi 13 ( or Sirimangkarajaan Road, Soi 3),
Chiangmai.

Chiangmai
Numismatic Museum (The Treasury Hall):
Located at 52 Rajdamnern Road, these museum features a fascinating
exhibition of antique Thai Coins, insignias of rank, and a
collection of paraphernalia. Enthusiasts can also purchase treasury
notes and coinage to add to their collections.

The Tribal
Research Institute Museum:
The three floor ethnological museum run by Hilltribe Research
Institute, part of the Public Welfare Department is located at the
Rama IX Lanna Park (Suan Ror Gao) on Mae Rim Road is not only
interesting but gives a valuable insight into the lives of the hill
dwellers of Northern Thailand.. The Museum has collections
illustrating the cultures of 10 tribal groups or sub-groups: the
Hmong, Karen, Mien, Akha, Lisu, Lahu, Lua, Thin, Khamu and Mla Bree.
There are exhibitions of their life-styles, their customes, belief and
education, using only materials derived from the tribal people's own
hand.
FIRST FLOOR : Exhibit describe the costumes, ornament, farm tools,
musical instruments, materials and handicraft of the major hilltribes.
Unusual photos and English translations of tribal poems are parts of
the decorations.
SECOND FLOOR : Exhibitions are of development of the Government's
project improving the life-style of the tribal peoples.
THIRD OR TOP FLOOR : Devoted to the Thai Royal family's varied
activities.

Chauteau Kum -
Une (Oon) Art Museum :
Located approximately at km. 4 at the edge of the road on the right.
It is a collection of art and antique objects, unusual to find in
present day Chiangmai. Chateau Kum - Une is constructed of beautiful
golden teak and is very pleasing to the eye. The surrounding grounds
are painted with many varieties of plants and tree nurseries which
provide confortable shade.

The Darapirom
Royal Residence Museum :
Located in the Dara Rasamee Military Camp in Mae Rim. The Museum
exhibits the gracious living quarters, textiles, person utensils and
musical instruments.
